Israel opens its very first consulate in Bahrain

Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid opened the Israeli consulate in Bahrain yesterday, a year after the US-expedited standardization of ties.

“May our kin live in harmony and flourishing everlastingly,” Lapid said during the introduction. He included Hebrew: “Israel made a significant, noteworthy advance today in the Gulf.”

As per the Times of Israel, the government office is situated on the 29th floor of the Bahrain World Trade Center.

The service was gone to by Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayani. “It is an indisputable sign to all that not set in stone,” he said. “We are not done.”

Maggie Nardi, the United States chargé d’affaires in Bahrain, added that the initiation was “a significant privilege for the United States.”

Lapid showed up in Manama the previous morning on board an Israir plane with “Shalom” showed on it and was heartily invited by senior Bahraini authorities. Before long his appearance, the Israeli authority met with the Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Al Zayani.

After the gathering, Lapid tweeted: “Thank you for the advantage of being here today and of being together, making one more stride in building our relationship in the model of organization and conjunction among societies and religions.”

The UAE and Bahrain standardized binds with Israel at a marking service in Washington last September as a feature of the supposed “Abraham Accords”. The move was censured by Palestinians as a stage away from the Arab League standards of harmony with Israel dependent on the foundation of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
