Pakistan remains among worst passports in the world, Singapore retains top spot
Pakistan’s passport remains near the bottom of the Henley Passport Index 2024, ranking as the 4th worst globally. It stands just ahead of Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan, sharing the 100th spot with Yemen out of 103 countries.
In the previous January ranking, Pakistan also held the 4th worst position, just ahead of Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.
At the other end of the spectrum, Singapore retained its top position with a mobility score of 195, indicating visa-free access to 195 countries. France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Spain are tied for second place, each with access to 192 destinations. The United Kingdom ranks fourth, with visa-free access to 190 countries.
The Henley Passport Index, created by the London-based global citizenship and residence advisory firm Henley & Partners, tracks global freedoms using exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association. The index assesses 199 passports and 227 travel destinations.
The UAE has improved to 9th place, up from 11th earlier this year, and shares this spot with Lithuania and Estonia, offering visa-free access to 185 countries. Canada ranks 7th with a mobility score of 187, while the United States is in 8th place with a score of 186.
India, Tajikistan, and Senegal are tied for 82nd place, each providing visa-free access to 58 countries. Bahrain, Oman, and China are ranked 57th, 58th, and 59th, respectively.
