Saudi Arabia approaches YouTube to eliminate ‘hostile’ advertisements
The experts in Saudi Arabia called yesterday for YouTube to eliminate notices “hostile to Islamic qualities and standards” that have circulated around the web on the stage lately.
The realm’s General Commission for Audiovisual Media (GCAM) and Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) has mentioned YouTube — which is partnered with Google — “to eliminate these promotions and to consent to the [kingdom’s] guidelines; and that it will be put under progressing follow-up.”
The admonitions have come after there were numerous objections about profane YouTube advertisements, which don’t exactly measure up to public desire for Saudi Arabia.
