The setting for a gathering between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian partner Volodymyr Zelenskiy would no doubt be Turkey, Interfax Ukraine referred to a Ukrainian mediator as saying on Saturday, Reuters reports.
It said David Arakhamia told Ukrainian TV that a period and a spot for a gathering were not known.
The two sides have depicted the exchanges as of late as troublesome. The discussions are a blend of eye-to-eye meetings in Turkey and virtual gatherings.
Arakhamia said Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan had referred to Putin and Zelenskiy on Friday “and appeared to affirm from his side that they are prepared to organize a gathering soon”.
He added: “Neither the date nor place are known however we figure it would no doubt be in Istanbul or Ankara.”
